  • This song just grabs me.

    • What's not to like-quirky, positive and catchy. It's grabbed me too.

      Oh yeah...long live baseball.

              • I am listening to some country-like song on the radio, it is so catchy, but I am clueless about the name

My guess is it is a huge hit right now somewhere in the US.

From Out Of The Blue, It's Over-

I remember in August 1978 going to see ELO tour the Out Of The Blue album. They were hot and that double LP was just full of Jeff Lynnishness catchy melodies and beatlesque harmonies/production. Pretty good. Had this whole Parliament flying saucer thingy going. Saw Hall & Oates and then Springsteen at the garden that same month. Springsteen-over the top. ELO- damned good. Hall & Oates-not sure what I was thinking but I evidently had money to burn.

Released as a single about the same time as Beggar's Banquet came out. How this didn't make that album I've never understood. Doesn't matter. Turned my world upside down and may be my favorite rock track. Here's the flip side to that single-
