I quoted four different media sources: the bylinetimes who frankly I do not know, the Mirror which I agree is left wing, a Channel 4 interview with Farage and the BBC, which by it's own rules is supposed to be impartial. Granted that the Mirror is has left wing bias but which of the other three do you class as "lefty and Remainer sources"? Or perhaps any all sources that question Farage's funding are by defination exhibiting 'lefty and Remainer' tendencies? Perhaps the press should no business investigating the funding of Brexiteers?

The funding of Farage's Leave.EU campaign is already the subject of a criminal investigation. The hits on the Brexit Party website (where donations would ordinarily be made) to not add up to the amount of money Farage says he is raising from these 'membership fees'. Nor is his lifestyle affordable on an MEPs salary. If he has expenses payed by someone like Aaron Banks he is obliged to declare that and has not done so. Thus the EU are now investigating his none declaration as well. Nor honestly can Aaron Banks afford the millions he has given Farage so the question is who is behind all this money? I could hazard a guess.

Seems now Mrs May's latest proposed vote on the EU withdrawal agreement was so badly received that she is likely to be out before she can put her deal to Parliament again next month. She is due to meet the Chairman of the 1922 Committee (which manages Tory Party leadership elections) and they will tell her to go or they will change the rules to get her out.

Why would you not want a deal with the worlds largest trading block? I've never seen British politics so divisive and a unifier is what is needed. Its become far too polarised, 1/3 of the UK are hard core remain, 1/3 are hard core leaver with the remaining 1/3 completely pissed off with the other 2/3's and wanting to get on. Who ever takes on this poison chalice needs to be a communicator and can't be afraid of smacking a few heads ;) Strong leadership which May never had is required immediately!!!

Am a fan too. He made an impression years ago. Never forgot him after that speech. The arab spring had begun and here he is in 2011 making the case for UK intervention in Libya. I was the only supporter on this board of that intervention. And still think it was a good idea. This is not the west creating chaos in the world, this is the west giving the people of that country a chance to take charge of it.

I think the Tory Party has at least for the foreseeable future committed suicide. No matter who they elect (I would favour the current Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt personally) the numbers in Parliament are not going to change and whoever takes up the reins is basically also drinking from the same poison chalice that defeated Theresa May. If they called a General Election they would be wiped out by Farage and his Muscovite backers and the LibDems, these Europeans elections in the the UK were apparently their worst result since 1832!

I obviously disagreed with Theresa May's strategy - which appeared almost bullheaded to me at times - but I respected her belief that the British public, having voted to leave the EU (albeit under false and foreign influences) needed to have some form of leave be seen to happen. I think she should have called a General Election immediately after being elected as PM and formed a 'National Government' before starting negotiations with the EU so as represent a united front. Going for the later election cost her the Conservative majority in the House of Commons and not forming a bi party Government (however revolting it may have been to have Corbyn in some post) allowed the EU to exploit the divisions between (and in) the Parties. While I did not agree with her policy in the first place I could at least respect the reasons for it but her strategy in trying to attempt it was frankly appalling. She should have invite George Osbourne to supper or something. No doubt she will go down in history as a failure but she faced a very difficult task and just failed on strategy but full marks for doing what she thought right.

God save you from Boris. The new PM will be chosen by a Party of around 100,000 members the average of age is 59. "Will of the People" has been lost.
