anyone of u aware of why one cant use "con" while creating a *txt file or a new file etc.
entitle "con" a new file if u can!
i have just discovered a solution for it and wanted to share!
CON is a reserved file name in windows. Its stands for "console".
LPT#(used to communicate with Line Printer/Parallel port) and COM#(used to communicate with com or serial ports) and PRN for printer etc are some more reserved words.

I'm sorry but i still don't get it. What's your solution?
u still did not understand the problem?
type "con" intead of any folder's name then press enter.u will notice that the folder's name will not be "con".
similar situation is valid for the other type of new choices.e.g for txt files.
i m asking whether anyone knows a solution for it.
i mean, after writing "con" for a file's name, how can we provide it to sustain its name as "con" after pressing enter. ;)

rd \\.\c:\con should work. or alternatley rename and delete
( ie ren \\.\c:\con foo
rmdir foo )
Its been sometime since i last did anything command line on windows so I'm not sure if the correct command is rmdir or rd. )
