    • I think if you compare the 'diamond' shaped pattern of the proposed search area to the possible locations as determined by satellite (see citanon's last above) that our search authorities have allowed for drift due to current and winds in their projections.
If you are emotionally invested in 'believing' something is true you have lost the ability to tell if it is true.

Apparently the pictures were taken on Mar 16 or there about.

        • This proves that our earth is still a pretty big place and there are still places where one can get lost and never be found again.

          • We are still not certain that this is wreckage. Even if it is we may never know what happened. be nice to give some peace to the families, however.

            • For the sake of the families I hope they find the aircraft soon. Very sad that a large number of the Chinese passengers were artists attending a good will conference on oil painting. For a lot of the Chinese families they are missing their only son or daughter.

The area where the plane is presumed to have gone down is HUGE. They were saying on NPR this morning that it takes 3 or 4 hours just to GET to the search area from Perth, and that's in a US Navy P-8 Poseidon! Because of the distances involved, the planes involved in the search (both Australian P-3 Orions and the P-8 Poseidon) only have an hour or two to do any actual searching before they have to head back to base to refuel.

                      • Cell phones of passengers aboard flight MH370 not connecting anymore

A report that had sent many into tizzy was that scores of relatives of Chinese passengers were able to connect successfully to the cell phones of their kins on board the ill-fated Malaysian Airlines plane. But now, when various passengers' phone numbers were tried, none could be connected, said Malaysia Embassy to China as per CCTV News.

The phones were connecting till a couple of days after the plane's disappearance.

Waterproof cellphones or did the plane float for a few days before sinking?

On another note, If cellphones were connected to network for these few days then tracking them would have been simple?

                        • MH 370 and all souls lost, declared Malaysian official. Malaysia is the first country to say so. Waiting to see what other nations involved conclude.

Hopefully the data recordings, if they manage to retrieve the, will give an insight to what happened.
