I wonder if they'll transfer her antiaircraft systems directly to the Gerald Ford.

“He was the most prodigious personification of all human inferiorities. He was an utterly incapable, unadapted, irresponsible, psychopathic personality, full of empty, infantile fantasies, but cursed with the keen intuition of a rat or a guttersnipe. He represented the shadow, the inferior part of everybody’s personality, in an overwhelming degree, and this was another reason why they fell for him.”

We will never see her like again . . . . .
I intend to use a picture of her at the end of my battleship book
here is the caption
A worthy capital ship successor to the battleship, like so many battleships before her, she sails into the sunset of her career. USS Enterprise, CVN 65, commissioned in 1961, steams away, under nuclear power from her eight submarine style reactors, on her final deployment. The first nuclear powered carrier, and the world's longest warship. A capital ship if there ever was one, a fast ship going in harm's way. Legend has it she was the fastest ship in the fleet, her true speed is still classified. Enterprise witnessed the birth of the world's first nuclear navy, in which she was the lead surface combatant. Serving with distinction for 52 years – she was decommissioned in 2013, after a long, illustrious and record breaking career. A welcome and encouraging sight to friends and a frightening, hope stealing sight to her enemies. No other navy ever fielded a ship that even came close to her war fighting capabilities. She could carry enough nuclear firepower in her magazines to destroy entire countries, and was far more deadly than any battleship in history.Last edited by USSWisconsin; 10 May 13,, 00:59.sigpic"If your plan is for one year, plant rice. Looks like they gave her a flattop! (No pun intended)“He was the most prodigious personification of all human inferiorities.
