Yeap, I've been UA for a while due to some health issues. And the youg guy, Thomas that contributed quite a bit here has remained very busy on the FB page.
I also haven't been onboard for some time even though I relocated to be closer to the ship. Hopefully I am going to get back up there in a couple of weeks.
I have a project to dive into as I bought a jeep to restore that will eventually wind up being kept at the ship during the Summer. My plan is to trailer(which I also bought) the jeep behind my motorhome and hit the road in the winter and visit some of our sister museum ships. Now I just have to get to the restoration!
One aquisition I was happy to obtain was the pictured license plate! It originally belonged to a WW2 vet that was the cook/gunner on PT-143. His name was Alfred Romagnolo. He passed back in 2015. I thought how appropriate a memorial to have that plate on a WW2 ship.
