The Leopard 2NG (Next Generation) is a privately funded Turkish upgrade by Aselsan that includes the application of more armour (AMAP), upgraded optics, completely overhauled turret mechanics and a new fire control system on the work since 1995 and to be delivered by late 2011 which is intended to be used on new Altay MBT. It was developed without an order of the Turkish Army, but might meet the requirements for the modernization of the Turkish Leopard 2A4s.[34] The old powerpack and the L/44 gun barrel are kept, but the combat weight is increased to 65 tonnes.[34] According to the Turkish news sources, Finland is interested in getting the Turkish upgrade package to modernize their fleet of Leopard 2A4s

                Otokar Arma 6x6 and 8x8

Turkish automotive company Otokar, one of the largest equipment and vehicle suppliers to the Turkish military, has developed a tracked armored vehicle called Tulpar to protect the nation's first domestically manufactured, new-generation Altay tanks on the battlefield.

The company wants to export the Tulpars but will primarily produce these vehicles for the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) if such a request is made.

The name Tulpar is taken from the epic of Manas, a well-known Kyrgyz mythical hero. In the epic, Tulpar is a horse with wings.

The vehicles are designed to endure the harshest weather conditions and operate over the most rugged terrain. A military transport aircraft, the A400M, which will be added to the TSK inventory in the coming years, will be able to carry the Tulpars. The Tulpar is large enough to transport missiles in addition to 10 soldiers.

The vehicle will be on display at the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2013), scheduled for May 7-10.

Speaking at a press conference held this week to introduce the Tulpars, Otokar General Manager Serdar Görgüç recalled that his company has been operating in the defense industry since 1987. “We don't have foreign partners. We are the only national military vehicle and land systems producer in Turkey. With Tulpar, we primarily aim to address the needs of the TSK and then those of foreign markets,” he said.
