Its a story form the district Andar of Ghazni province, where Afghan govt or ISAF had no presence. The locals rose up in revolt against the Taliban and drove them out all by themselves. This really is a positive thing which can change the situation on the ground, as a first step.

The scenario looks somewhat like old american wildwest.
The only problem is that it is headed by a leader who isn't exactly an ally for ISAF, in fact he's been fighting them in past.
And that if this thing even spreads in other communities it will create local lordships, but a charismatic afghan leader elected by afghans should be able to unite them. Thats the way afghans have always lived.
