It may seem a low probability, but also far from an impossibility that Trump and/or Bloomberg could be running as independent candidates..

Jeb Spends $2,884 Per Iowa Vote
12:22 AM, Feb 02, 2016
The Weekly Standard
Florida governor Jeb Bush received 5,165 votes in Iowa. His vote total constitutes 2.8 percent of the Republican turnout, placing him in sixth place in the Iowa caucus.
Yet no candidate in either party spent more in the race than Bush.
According to MSNBC, Bush spent $14.9 million in Iowa, all coming from Bush's super PAC. (In fact, if one were to consider national ads and money from the campaign, the total would be significantly more.)
That means, the once Republican frontrunner spent $2,884 per Iowa vote.

any way, fresh blood wanted.

How social mobility seems to have stopped when it was once taken for granted. You hear this when people say wages haven't really risen if one takes inflation into account. How true that is depends who you ask.
Dunno what can be done about that and who is best to do anything about it.
Another interesting bit I picked up is the Dems are a urban liberal & minority party only nowadays. The working class white got dumped by them about ten years back.
well, who are they to vote for. Neither the Dems nor the Repubs represent them any more.
This is causing Trump & Sanders to get followers. How they can follow Trump i don't understand. is talking trash enough ? End of the day, Trump is 'the man'. Sanders is your polite, sensible euro socialist. College kids like him. But they don't always come out to vote so Sanders staying power is so so.
Cruz is a TP'er. Cause of republican woes. This guys gets more traction and the repubs will be in still hotter water.

No. Social mobility means one could ditch a low paying job for a higher paying job without restrictions other than his qualification. A hamburger flipper cannot expect to work 30 years doing the same thing but make executive level salary, or even middle class salary. It's an unskilled, entry-level job. And it always will be.
Del Taco's president retired a few years ago. She worked her way up from sweeping the floors at a Del Taco restaurant to cashier, to manager, to corporate, to VP, and finally retired as the president of the company. That's social mobility. She's a woman, and from the name, a "minority." It seems like the American dream is alive.

Did social mobility stop? Since when did "social mobility" mean one works 30 years at the same job doing the same thing but having his salary adjusted higher than inflation every single year?

Easy, increase minimum wage every year so anyone with a job making minimum wage is middle class.
