This is not far from the Navy Yard in DC where a gunman killed 11 people last year. It seems this type of killer picks public places where their acts are sure to get maximum attention. Meanwhile this year there have been 10 unsolved murders in DC alone, all people who died virtually unnoticed, and many more if you take the whole Baltimore-Washington region as a whole.
