As I said in the quiz section, just got done with "Fast Movers" (August to now, one of several books open on the read).
Toward the end, it was talking about the rescue of Captain Roger Locher......and it was quite interesting to see the account from another angle, from an older mind....................
.....................................because then I recalled the article I read in Nat'l Geo magazine as a child in the 70's, remembered the painting, the photograph of him coming aboard the Jolly Green.
An article I have not read in decades and how it was stored in memory till now was different.....but now two and two are put together.
As it is, I can go back and look up that article; I have the family's collection from the early 60's to the late 90's, practically complete. (after that time, keeping up with them in my adult life did become somewhat problematic)
The interesting things we tuck into our minds....................
