Germany sends to additional PzH 2000 to Afghanistan

Two further PzH 2000 arrived in Afghanistan, bringing the total number from three to five. Though these machines were net send with further crew or troops and are apparently not intended to expand the firing missions, but to prevent any shortages due maintenances and failures of the already deployed howitzers.

Germany will be deploying its first platoon of Boxer GTK heavy wheeled APCs to Afghanistan in August this year.

Will be part of the Guard Battalion for Mazar-e-Sharif, deployed with the German components of the Franco-German Brigade.
