A very sad case but I know of one landlord in Medicine Hat that will not rent his houses to anyone other than "white folk" point blank refuses no matter how often he is told that he is breaking the law, being racist etc etc his reply is .........."aint breaking my law" so far he has not been taken to any court or tribunal.........interesting point this man lives on Curry and Kebabs...his two favourite foods

The same dilemna for a Jeovah's Witness regarding blood transfussions. There have been instances of a child requiring a full transfussion but the parents refused and thus the child died all because a JW is brought up to believe that the blood of others is unpure. That situation may have now changed but some of the old diehard JW's still maintain that stance.

Exactly. If you will indulge me, I’d like for you to consider this scenario:

1. It’s a world where all humans live in peace and harmony together.
2. The climate is such that humans don’t need clothes.
3. The climate is also such that humans don’t need shelter so we all live outside.
4. Pterodactyls are at the top of the food chain and humans are number two.

Pterodactyls will acquire a preference for a certain type of human (pink) and will target those (pink) humans more often. Once humans recognize the (pink) trait the pterodactyls prefer they will keep a distance from the (pink) humans who carry that (pink) trait by fight or flight. It’s racist, but it is also survival.

I don't quite understand this argument. It sounds vaguely like the support given to the eugenics movement; oh we don't hate irrationally, its just for reason X dependent on some ludicrous scenario. How on earth is racism a part of the survival instinct? Races have been shown to have no major predispositions guaranteeing their superiority over one another.

I have to say, i reckon racism is a term used for the wrong reasons.

It's more like differentiatism. I mean if you take a North American town that's 100% White Catholic. Then people will pick on people from other countires, like Poles will pick on the Irish. If the whole town is Polish, then there will be clan based issues. If the whole town is from the same clan, then there will be neighbourhood issues, like one neighbourhood against the other.

It is a part of human nature to put people in different categories.
Just look at all the gang violence amongst Blacks in inner city LA.

BTW, Springfield, MA has a population of somewhere around 150,000, and it's a pretty safe bet they are not 100% White Catholic.

I was making an abstract example, sighting the fact that Springfield is the most common name for towns in America.
