  • Those 72 Virgins...

Recently, i was reminded, of the offer of 72 virgins by god, didn't really impress me, as i have stated earlier...but i won't go into that.

I'll be honest, before every counter-jihadi on the internet started mentioning virgins, i never knew about them, to this day i have found no evidence of them (if your still wondering this topic is about the 72 virgins allegedly offered to martyrs).

So I reffered to the bible, i mean google. I have found plenty of interesting articles, i'm going to post the links and some highlights... and leave the rest for you all to read.

    Before we begin a picture...

    Right now my sources...
This is what the Quran says...it's long but read it if you want to really know...

    The arguements...

    • The way the Quran is written doesn't help matters, it's very complicated and to the average unedcated person, incredibly difficult to interpret correctly, hence the emphasis put into ealier Islam to get educated, one that has been lost today.
    • It's a pity none of these sources are from actual muslim scholars, who have obviously done work on the subject but not made it openly available, yet another muslim failure of not letting the wrold know we are not exclusive
    • It seems to argue that in heaven ou will be rewarded, with all things great....including chicks, how many is an issue
    • others claim it to be gift of grapes, but i'm really not feeling that
    • some say this reward is not just for martyrs but for all who enter ehaven
    • these are funny articles, the guardain one indicates god made viagra before man

What i've been told, Heaven would be a place where you'd all be young (nbot kids but not old), at a peak physical state, and would have your family and life partners with you (even if you don't discover them on this world), and you will be served on hand and foot.

Guess theres only one way to find out don't you think folks? Also does a person who is muslim only by name and leads a sinful ahte filled life, get priority over a non muslim who has led a life perfect of a human being apart from they reffered to god in a different sense?

    What do you think?
Take it from the point of your religions?

    Plat,

Your post is very interesting, though uniquely challenging to digest.

It leaves me bewildered and perplexed!

So, the Koran was written in Arabic but has Aramic interpretations?

"Hur" is not "Virgins" [Arabic], but is actually "white grapes" [Aramic]!!

Why complicate the already complicated explanations of the Koran. Funny chaps!

    Nonetheless, rather fascinating explanations!

In the comments, it is stated that "The way the Quran is written doesn't help matters, it's very complicated and to the average unedcated person, incredibly difficult to interpret correctly, hence the emphasis put into ealier Islam to get educated, one that has been lost today".

Now, that is even more amusing than the white grape and virigins confusingly amusing interpretations!

Imagine, illiterate Maulavis interpreting the words that are Arabic but has Aramic meanings to equally, if not more illiterate, talibs [students]! Andha main Kana Raja [The Deaf being the King amongst the Blind!]in a manner of speaking!

And imagine, how many silly blokes have given up their ghost willingly in the hope of 72 virgins and gone to Paradise and realised that these are only "white grapes". Just mere white grapes and heaven knows if they tasted sour!

In other words, the Mullahs are having the last laugh and laughing the best! ;)

I do hope, I have got the meaning of your posts and the articles that you have linked correct! Or is it too complicated for the average illiterate like me?

Anyway, they were a good read!

          ROFL!

I'm convinced that the day all people stop reading books written in the medieval ages and trust them to the point of submitting ones whole life by practising whats written in them for the sake of a paradise or some heaven shyt or even for mere worldly gains will be the day Humanity acted sensibly in its entire history of a few thousand years.

I'll rethink if somebody can offer a sneak preview of the said six dozen.

I think those virgins have been about beaten to death around here, to the point they can no longer be virgins.

Then as a Moderator, please order a new set of 72 virgins!

Can't have the WAB "nude" (in a manner of speaking!)

What's the difference between people who pray in church and those who pray in casinos?
The ones in the casinos are serious.
