    Dead women elected in Dir

UPPER DIR: An investigation has been ordered after it was revealed that two deceased women were elected as councillors in Upper Dir district in the second phase of the local council elections. The Muttahida Qaumi Mahaz lodged a formal complaint seeking the disqualification of the two ‘deceased’ councillors. The two councillors elected were Jamhoor Bibi of Kalkoot Union Council who died 13 years ago and Mehar Zameena of Darikand Union Council who died three years ago. The alleged forgeries have yet to be confirmed by the authorities. zahid jan

An interesting commentary after so much of vociferous protestations that the LB Elections were immensely fair and that the Opposition was making too much ado over nothing.

Indeed, it is too much of ado over nothing.

    Dead women are nothing physical!
