We've been tasked to lead the campaign against those who are trying
to accuse U.S. troops of improper acts at GITMO - and in the process
trying to shut down the terrorist detention facility.
Some left-wing politicians (like Illinois Senator Dick Durbin) have
taken to the airwaves and accused American servicemen and women of
engaging in conduct akin to the "Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or
some mad regime -- Pol Pot or others."
We're not making this up.
A liberal Democrat U.S. SENATOR is accusing our troops of acting like
Nazi soldiers or the Soviet Communists who ran the gulags that
tortured political prisoners.
It's disgusting and it provides propaganda our enemies are using
against us. Durbin's words have already been used by the
Arab-language channels throughout the Middle East and you can be
sure American civilians and troops will suffer the consequences
of having an American politician making these false accusations
against our troops.
We need to respond to Dick Durbin and Senator Patrick Leahy and all
the others who are spreading false stories about the conduct of our
troops.
To do so we need to raise money - if we can raise about $125,000 in
the next 3 days that should be enough to produce and broadcast a
series of radio ads refuting Durbin and Leahy and others.
If we raise about $350,000 or more then we can deliver the message
ON TELEVISION.

We've been working hard on fighting back against the anti-Americanism
and corruption of the United Nations.
The latest news reports indicate that Kofi Annan DID involve himself
with the awarding of the corrupt Oil for Food scam contract (that
funded Saddam Hussein's army and allowed him to provide weapons to
Islamic terrorists) to a company that employed Kofi's son Kojo.
The best news of the week, however, was the vote by the House of
Representatives to reduce the amount of taxpayer money provided to
the United Nations unless the UN cleans up its act.
We've been fighting this battle for quite some time - without too
many other groups on our side - and its refreshing to see the
progress we are making in winning over the hearts and minds of
America's political leaders.

VOTE ON BOLTON NOMINATION - MONDAY

We expect the U.S. Senate to vote on whether to confirm the
pro-American nominee for U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, John
Bolton, on Monday.
We've been fighting hard for Bolton's confirmation - but Senate
Democrats have filibustered to block Bolton thus far.
It's disgusting to see them obstructing Mr. Bolton's nomination -
solely because they see John Bolton as 'too pro-American' which
Senate Democrats feel will upset our European allies.

WE'RE HEADING TO BAGHDAD IN JULY

And finally, a few words about our upcoming trip to Baghdad in July.
As we've reported, Move America Forward is working with the great
people at the U.S. Armed Forces Central Command (CENTCOM) to arrange
for a delegation of radio talk show hosts to travel to Iraq and
report live on the REST OF THE STORY that the old-line liberal
news media won't tell you.
This means Americans will finally hear some of the GOOD WORK being
done by our troops - and also hear from some of the Iraqi's who are
so very grateful for American sacrifices in defeating Saddam Hussein
and the terrorist threat in Iraq.
The latest development in this project is that it appears we will
also be able to bring some of the family members of 9/11 victims
including Debra Burlingame, Dina Burnett and others.
These 9/11 family members will be able to thank our troops for
their heroic efforts and personal sacrifices in the fight against
terrorism - so that no American family ever has to see their loved
ones killed in a series of attacks like those of September 11, 2001.
