who gets the new t-34 tanks ?

In the soviet army the distribution of the t-34 is a bit strange to say the least :
The Leningrad military district gets none.
The Odessa military district gets 50.
The Baltic military district gets 50.
The Western military district gets 266.
The Kiev military district gets ~ 490.

Someone could argue that the western and kiev districts faced Germany and that is reason why the t-34 are here.

Twice as much of everything. Good question. Some say caught between two stools in operational deployments. Others say by intent, with an attack on Romania in the works or a drive against the Germans through Lvov.

The Kiev m.d. mechanised corps are poorly placed for a attack on Romania.
The Odessa m.d. have the best position to do that.

Yeah. Maybe. That, if correct, only answers for Romania.

What about Lvov and west?

It`s not a bad position for ofensive ( if the intend to drive towards Germany or get behind the german forces in Poland ).
The german operational deployment is just the oposite ( majority of the forces north of the Pripet).

Almost 61% of the t-34 deployed on the Germany`s border are included in just 2 tank corps.
the soviet 6th mechanised corps (vest) had 238 t-34 tanks.
the soviet 4th mechanised corps (kiev) had 313 t-34 tanks.

This is closer to my opinion of this man too. Stalin did not manage to kill 25 million Russians in any five period and to me at least means that no Russian should ever fight for Hitler.

The man was, however, put in a Nazi POW camp. Maybe his guards helped to "convince" him into the German cause.

This is closer to my opinion of this man too. Stalin did not manage to kill 25 million Russians in any five period and to me at least means that no Russian should ever fight for Hitler.

The man was, however, put in a Nazi POW camp. Maybe his guards helped to "convince" him into the German cause.

My problem was not that he sided with another nation against Stalin, it is that he sided with Hitler against Stalin. By the time Vlasov began forming his army it was already clear that Hitler planned to show no mercy to Russians regardless of their politics
