First Glimpse of T-50???

The Russian jet engine manufacturer NPO Saturn has released what appears to be the first publicly available concept photo for the T-50 fighter, now under development by Sukhoi:

The airplane is reportedly intended to be a low-observable fighter, in the same size class as the Su-27.

Interesting image . . . obvious similarities to the F-22. The vertical and horizontal tails look small, however. Obviously an artist's concept.

There were tailless designs for the Raptor, too. At least for the proposed FB-22 version.

The artist didn't think it would have TVC or a bubble canopy either. This is just a CG image, nothing concrete.

I'd say it's a model for some combat flight sim, and has nothing to do with T50

I don't think that new 5th generation would be disclosed before flying tests starts.... and this would be 2/3 of the programe completed.... somewhere in 2009-10.

Until then we can have a lot of fantasy pics
