How big was the active duty US Army on December 7th 1941?

My SWAG (Semi Wild Ass Guess) is 300-600,000. I know that at its low point it was down to about 100,000, and that Roosevelt had started ramping that up a good time before Pearl Harbor, and we ended up with good many million, maybe as much as 10 mil. But somebody will be along soon to tell the truth.
I enjoy being wrong too much to change my mind.
