If Arpineh Masihi could vote, she would have cast her ballot for Donald Trump. She's a devout supporter of the US president – even now that she's locked up as an illegal immigrant.



"He's doing the right thing because lots of these people don't deserve to be here," Arpineh told the BBC over the phone from the Adelanto immigrant detention centre in California's Mojave Desert.

Yet her family says they have faith that Arpineh will be released, and believe that only hardened, dangerous criminals will actually be deported.

"I don't blame Trump, I blame Biden," Arthur says. "It's his doing for open borders, but I believe in the system and all the good people will be released and the ones that are bad will be sent back."

While many of those detained do not have criminal records, Aprineh is a convicted felon, which makes her a prime target for removal.

"I will support him until the day I die. He's making America great again."

She and her husband say they still have faith in the Trump administration and believe that she will be released.

"I'm not deportable to any country," Arpineh told the BBC from the detention facility.

But that hasn't stopped immigration officials in the past. In February, a group of Iranian Christians who had just crossed the border from Mexico were deported - but to Panama, not Iran.

I saw those guys live in Melbourne years ago. It wasn't a well promoted show - I think they were basically doing the equivalent of a shakedown cruise for an upcoming world tour. As a result it was a smallish venue & a smallish crowd.

Awesome gig. Even more so because they opened with 'Back in Black' while standing a block away from AC/DC Lane.

Love this band.

Now I would have loved to see that performed. However, I have the soft spot for Thunderstruck because that was playing when I first saw my one day wife in the Philippines.

I have tickets to see AC/DC later theis year at the mighty Melboure Cricket Ground. I figure it will be my last oppportunity. I think they might play 'thunderstruck'. :)

You are so absolutely clueless it is impossible to describe. No idea what you are talking about other than repeating words you have had burned into your mind yet absolutely no independent thought. Funny thing is you throw around the label "liberal" yet have no idea what is stands for. Meanwhile, at the same time, implying you are conservative but are far from it. I had someone in my office today who is probably one of the sharpest traditionally conservative minds I know fiscally and foreign policy wise. Could rival Buckley yet socially liberal like me. He could eat you alive in the blink of an eye before Bigfella or OE could get a chance. To me you are a reactionary who probably says fuck you all to other people when their ideas are contrary to yours. I happen to have a bottle Mezcal which needs company at the bottom.
