Back end unfortunatelySo just to clarify. Is there a way to the a user can reorganize how the Board is formatted as it was previously or is that something that needs to be done at the back end?
I think all you'd need to do is change the forum type for the top-level sections to "Category" to make what are now "sub-forums" visible in the way they were before. Probably right now what should be categories are are set as "Forum" in the adminCP.Update: Obviously a lot of work still left to be done to bring the board up to speed, improvements are being made piecemeal here and there.
If there's anything specific you see that needs fixing/adjusting/improving, like the overall layout that Matt mentioned, please post it here.
Still trying to figure out the adminCP for thatI think all you'd need to do is change the forum type for the top-level sections to "Category" to make what are now "sub-forums" visible in the way they were before. Probably right now what should be categories are are set as "Forum" in the adminCP.
I'd like to welcome Matt (Ironduke) back to the Administrator position.![]()
If you go here: https://www.worldaffairsboard.com/index.php?members/oracle.21011/#recent-content are you able to see them by chance? Nothing should have been lost with the move from vBulletin to XenForo but maybe something we need to look at here.Hey guys, why can't I access my older posts? Are those gone, or maybe the guys @ Rochen are on it to fix this issue. Would have been great to access the older posts, and threads. And thank you, the board is still running.
Huge thanks to Matt for making this happen, the board looks beautiful!!I've been able to get everything to appear mostly as it was before:
- square avatars instead of circular ones
- members join date / post count displayed under their name/avatar in posts
- all subforums visible top-level as before, instead of in a drop-down list
- made forum descriptions visible
It's um, lostJust needed some duct tape, a vise-grips, and a 10mm socket.
Perfect way to disappear a 10mm socketI lent it to a friend, he's going to sneak it in his girlfriend's pocket to try to lose her.
