2025 American Political (ob-?)Scene

FINALLY, someone on the lunatic fringe ADMITS that January 6th, 2021, was an attempt to overthrow the Government!
2nd impeachment: Incitement of Insurrection. The President asked hundreds of thousands of supporters to peacefully protest and demand that Congress exercise it's lawful option to return some results back to the states for further investigation. Several state legislatures had already requested they do so. The President also requested the Speaker of the House and the Mayor of DC to have National Guard to insure the safety and peacefulness of the event. A few hundred people got out of line and were violent. Everybody had guns but they all left them at home. There was no insurrection or incitement PERIOD

and, so says MAGA ... and exactly no one else.

You mean threw a hissy fit like the whiney little bitches they are because the rest of America didn't agree?
Nope. It was an organized effort to overthrow the government, they failed obviously - because the establishment is very fucking powerful, but,
hey... you can't deny there's some legitimacy toward movements that may want to overthrow the gov't.
In political philosophy, the right of revolution or right of rebellion is the right or duty of a people to "alter or abolish" a government that acts against their common interests or threatens the safety of the people without justifiable cause. Stated throughout history in one form or another, the belief in this right has been used to justify various revolutions, including the American Revolution, French Revolution, the Syrian Revolution, the Russian Revolution, and the Iranian Revolution.

Do note that this is not me endorsing the events of January 6th, this is simply me pointing out the fact that these people are probably NOT as "evil" or "wrong" as you liberals make them out to be...

Only they were 'wrong'. There was no stolen election and they had no legal, ethical or moral right to physically storm the hill, try to kidnap members present or otherwise interfere with the legal transfer of power.

They had a right to protest of course but even then those who did just that and committed no crime were still wrong - in the sense they were objecting to something that hadn't happened.

As for evil? From recollection it was not a term used much here. And if it was? It would relate to particular individuals and acts they performed, not everyone involved. Now stupid, or ignorant or cowardly on the other hand? Those were words that were used - a lot!

Agreed on this part at least. They were technically incorrect 100%, and I know this for a fact because it was Bernie-Tulsi progressives such as myself who dragged Biden kicking and screaming across the finish line in 2020! Lol

Clintonite Neoliberal Cultists stayed home in droves both in 2020 and 2024. They always hated the base (the MAJORITY) of that party, yet after Clinton lost they blamed Bernie and third-party voters till they were blue in the face.

Anyway, I'll stop ranting and derailing now. Here's an Asmongold video for your consideration:

It's called democracy.
look it up.

The uber-Rich are celebrating this week. After abandoning all pretense of fiscal responsibility, and ceding budgetary authority to the (mal)Administration, Congressmen Chip Roy, (R Tx), Keith Self (R, Tx), Andy Harris, (R, Md), and David Valadao (R, Ca); and Senators Lisa Murkowski (R, Ak) and Josh Hawley (R, Mo) -- among others -- just gave a massive budget deficit increase to the People, and a tax break to the richest 1%.

When Sen. John Kennedy (R, La) -- not THAT JFK! -- was asked to explain to fiscal conservatives why in the world he would vote to ADD more than $3 trillion to the public debt over the next decade, he spoke about making tips tax-free.

Sen Kennedy clearly doesn't understand that it isn't possible to explain such fiscal malfeasance through cutting revenue. And, that lying to your constituents about protecting Medicare and Medicaid is quite contrary to your professed Christian religion
.

We are stuffed: Social Security Administration politicized.

"The Social Security Administration (SSA) is celebrating the passage of the One Big, Beautiful Bill, a landmark piece of legislation that delivers long-awaited tax relief to millions of older Americans."

Yes, I WILL defend legitimate mainstream media;
No, I will NOT use YouTube posts (that may or may not be tampered with) as evidence.

Do you have difficulty accessing actual sources in your version of reality?

CBS announces the cancellation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the single most popular late night comedy show on television. The program has run its course, there's nothing to do with the pending sale of parent company Paramount to Skydance (requiring FCC approval), and they're eating the dogs and cats.

Again, I ask, what about when this so-called "legitimate mainstream media" makes Youtube posts? :P
