  • Miramar Airshow 2008

I went to the show on Oct. 4th. Being as lazy as I am, I waited until today to upload the photos.

I don't know what this is. Is it Swiss?

    Some ordinance:

    JDAM and JSOW:
I have never seen a JSOW before. I ask the marine there what the range of that is. He said he couldn't tell me. :)) I guess it's better than the standard "I can tell you but then I'd have to kill you."

        Excellent pictures. Thanks for sharing!

Seemed like the UAV wasn't getting much attention. I guess people aren't interested in "drones".... :/

Yeah, not many people visited the drone. It was the 2nd thing I saw after I arived and I just ran to it yelling "OMG it's a drone!!!" My friends were like..."what...?" I took more pictures of the drone than anything else.

I have more but just too lazy to go through them all. I will work on sharing them later. :P

The clearance between the ground and rear stabilisers(?) seems to be ~ 10cm. ? How much of them get crashed in landing in stronger wind?
If i only was so smart yesterday as my wife is today

If I were a spy, I would assume that the drone takes off perfectly horizontal using only its flaps for extra lift. In landing, it uses the flaps to ease it to the ground horizontally and lands with having to do any flare like a normal airplane.

My mother went to Oshkosh this year. I should send you guys the photos. A F-22, P-51, and a good ole P-38 did a flyby.

                              Some vintage aircraft:

A Fairey Firefly. I was able to name this plane when I saw it on the tarmac. :)

                              The Flying Banana:

I wish my car is this clean.
