I don't have the time either to dig up youtubes or even figure out how to put them on. I have an important meeting tonight but just wanted to join in for a little mental relaxation.
There are several movies of which had special scenes in them that I liked.
The helo attack in "Apocolips Now" was pretty good ONLY because of the background music.
In "Jaws" I liked the scene where the great white shark chomps up the stern of the boat.
In "The Vikings" (Kirk Douglas, Janet Leigh, Tony Curtis) any scene showing those Dragon Ships was awesome when accompanied by the background music simulating a long animal horn.
The Cavalry charge on Bethsheba in WW I was awe inspiring in both the black and white movie "Forty Thousand Horsemen) and the made for TV color version "The Light Horsemen". Interestingly, scenes of the charge were incorporated into the TV series of the "Young Indiana Jones".
In John Wayne's "Stage Coach" the race through the salt flats to stay ahead of charging Indians was so expertly photographed no remake or copy for other movies have matched it.
The final battle scene in "Searching for Private Ryan" was so accurate it was actually shocking. Although the scenes of a left-handed sniper with a bolt action rifle designed for right-handers was very well done.
In "Band of Brothers", the arrival of authentic M-4 Sherman tanks to repel a German attack made me yell "ALL RIGHT".
In "Marooned", the attempt of a Soviet Voshtok space capsule to rescue Americans in a Gemini-type space capsule was a surprise to everybody. Even to the Russians which led to developing matching access hardware to space vehicles of both countries.
The ending scene of "It's a Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stuart brings tears to our eyes every time.
Well gotta go now though there is more scenes I liked but it would bore you to death such as the wife swapping scene with Natasha Gurdin in "Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice". Well, almost any scene in any movie she was in and the most hilarious was with Tony Curtis in "The Great Race" where she was able to demonstrate her linguistic talent of speaking English, French and Russian.
