    Rinse and repeat...
Well, the dissolved transparent plastic didn't turned out well and I have to figure out why. However, it is far more plastic and easy to cast to non clear parts and it is a lot easier to work with than the melted Styrofoam. The melted styrofoam dries very quickly but only on the surface while the core remains soft, so the actual piece of plastic behaves a lot more like a tissue which is good if you want to make model animals or body parts but its useless for machinery. I believe that these issues are the matter of ratios so I will repeat the experiments few times. If they don't work I will go with thermal forming.

Yes, there will be updates soon. The paint was removed completely by using two types of de greasers. First attempt was only partially successful, because I had two layers of different paint but with this combination, it removed all the paints and all the parts are now clean. I will post an update and lay out the plan for the restoration, because more damage was discovered.

I was too busy with the "logistics" for this project, building a new workstation table. The one I had was too small and not well lit. New one is the real deal and can handle up to 1:32 scale models.

While working on the workbench for this project I decided to make plastic profiles for the wheel struts, wires, hydraulic sub systems and cockpit frame. Its not interesting at this stage but it will be :)))

The workstation is getting closer to finish. Its a bit complex thing, so my apologies for the delays. As a bonus I was able do clean and disassemble all my models from the 80es and the 90es so a lot of work lies ahead.

It's not much of an angle. It's still work in progress but it's operational, sort of.

It was a much larger project than just the bench, there was tracing/drawing table, computer table, shelves and a lot of other smaller items. These clamped together in order to get ergonomical measures but as they are they work. The bench will be expanded a lot to the left once the table tops arrive. I mean the real ones.
