There's also a lot less room for cattle raising here, so more of the meat is imported (mainly from South America), which means that steak is more expensive here, which is also why the cuts are smaller.
That Argie beef is overrated. No, seriously, I do understand the economics of imported food. Personally, I thought your meal looked OK, but I would have made a couple of changes. Instead of French Fries, or "chips" as one prefers, I'd have had a mess of hash browns. Then throw in three or four fried eggs over easy and a bunch of toast and butter and life would be real good. ;)

Hey at least you'd die happy. And with full stomach ;)

Amazingly enough, my cholesterol is just fine. I don't eat like that too often, but I admit that steak and eggs is a meal I could enjoy three times a day. I don't eat anything like I used to when I ran ten or 12 miles a day. I used to eat like a real pig in those days. Now, I have some ribeyes in the freezer that I'll eventually get around to eating, but it's mostly chicken and fish these days.

Not the prettiest cut of meat but you won't leave the table hungry.
Removing a single turd from the cesspool doesn't make any difference.

The Argie beef isn't bad, but it's nowhere near a fresh Australian Angus, for instance. When I was working in Rockhampton, QLD, we would eat proper, decent steaks about twice a week.

You also have to understand that as a general rule (aside from the occasional exception), I eat Kosher cuts of beef, which just aren't the same quality as a non-Kosher cut.
Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

Oh, I get it. My sister is a convert to Judaism and keeps Kosher. She's a bigger "Yiddishe Mame" than any of her friends. Pretty hilarious from an Irish-Catholic point of view. She's the reason there's a tree planted in my name in Israel. I hope the money actually went to the purchase of an Uzi or three, but whatever.

Once I found out about the eggs I have to agree. Don't mess about with a handful of chips but a plate of hash browns sounds good to me.

Of course I also like it when the cut is thick enough to cast a shadow.

Depends. I've heard of lots of people that like Kosher beef because part of the Kosher slaughtering process involves salting the meat to remove all the blood. It gives it a different taste, and from what I understand, some people like that. I wouldn't really know.....

Indeed. I was not disappointed with it when I went but it was not steak of the steak gods everyone told me it was. Cheap as chips though and I had it every night for a month.

Steak n eggs is the breakfast of champions IMHO. And it's gotta be bloody! I like a bacon wrapped filet because everyone knows that breakfast ain't breakfast without dead pig.

                          • Time to amend Kosher rules by adding bacon.

The only way to improve that is to add copious amounts of hot sauce and a bottle of Newcastle.

Thats how I use to do battle on "Hangover Sunday"

This is the food equivalent of "Its not that I'm small, She just has big hands"

The "Steak" is about sammich size. If you could find a bun that won't overwhelm it.
