Here is more on our national trucker shortage. This is causing a ripple effects throughout the supply chain. COVID impacts production, most consumer goods are being shipped from overseas and this results in backups for container ships in our container ports...not to mention our rail lines are clogged as well.
Now you understand the whole infrastructure thing being argued about.

07 May 2022 The strategy behind Russia's disinformation propaganda campaigns
Is there a playbook for how the Kremlin spreads disinformation when it is at the center of a global outcry? We have found three tactics that it has used again and again:
Spreading confusion, with massive amounts of misleading information. The aim appears to be to muddy the waters for those who want to know more.
Turn the allegations around. Rather than defend itself, it shifts the focus through attacks, bold responses of strength, and disinformation.
The Kremlin's spokespeople also tend to attack opposing views – moving the focus away from the allegations themselves. They like to imply or point out that the West is just as bad as it accuses Russia of being. This narrative can be found scattered through different pro-Kremlin sites, often with misleading information.
So. I've been given some 'Carolina Reapers' to cook with. A friend we had lunch with grows his own vegetables. I like chili in my food but he kept warning me to treat them line Plutonium 238. Just a sliver or two max he said. Should I be wary? Normally we just chuck a couple of chili's in a pot. I was thinking maybe a quarter or a half.

Tread lightly...they are lethal! Not quite ghost peppers but pretty close!

OK thanks. I'll just use slivers like he suggested. BTW have you ever cooked with Ghost Peppers out of curiosity?
Nope. I like a certain amount of spice in my food but I like to manage it myself. I believe in spicy, not hot. I use hot sauce if I want to get more heat. My son, however, is braver than I am!

In 1976 I was sitting in a Left Bank cafe having dinner by myself when someone across from me (all I can recall now) asked me to try a pepper. I normally don't try peppers at all but I did let that Tunisian pepper touch my lower lip. That was as far as it got...

Had a colonel I worked for one day join the system engineers for lunch. These guys were all South Asian and our colonel prided himself on eating hot, spicy food. Well they all ate at the table next to us...and my eyes were watering. He excused himself as we all had to get to the 1300 staff meeting. He appears in the meeting just as it started about 10 minutes after he left the table. He was squirming and as time went on you could tell he was really starting to suffer. After about 25 minutes he told the XO to take over and he bolted out of the room.
About 3 months later we were sitting around while on a business trip having some beers and the colonel finally spilled the beans what happened. During that 10 minute absence he had gone to the bathroom...and didn't wash his hands before taking a leak.
Lesson learned...after handling hot peppers wash your hands thoroughly before grabbing your junk.
