Not a very reassuring title. Well, depends who will win. All four major parties are level in the polls.

She mentions elections in the Brecons in August and polls there have conservatives at 20% and Lib Dems at 43%. Whether this is a harbinger of things to come ?

Reconcile the jostling instincts in the human heart

I like the sound of this, means he will try to unite people.

He is talking the language of compromise.

In Ukraine you had a comedian run for office and win the presidency.

This is the reverse a politician becoming an entertainer : D

    • In the meantime, HERE IS THE MAN !!

Those critics are wrong, those doubters, doomsters, the gloomsters are going to get it wrong, again. Those who bet against Britain are going to lose their shirts because we're going to restore trust in our democracy. No one in the last few centuries has succeeded in betting against the pluck & nerve and ambition of this country. They will not succeed today.

My job is to be PM of the whole united kingdom and that means uniting our country.

That right there is what Brits badly need to hear.

He makes the arguments of self-determination that Roosevelt made in the 40s : )

Boris did write a biography on Churchill, maybe he's going to channel some of that energy

Not just make Britain great again but make Britain the greatest place on earth

Unleashing the productive power of the whole UK not just London & the SE

He wants electric vehicles, running on made in UK batteries. He wants a British GPS.

Brits were in need of a Jacinda, looks like they found one.

No problem : with 350 M Pounds a week, Johnson will be able to do much.

                • £350m per week was and is total BS; net loss by all forecasts are at least less 1% GDP per year. You swallowed a bunch of obvious lies and I understand it is hard to accept that and admit it to yourself.

The £ is down again.... when did they say it would rise again after the referendum when it first crashed? Dominic Cummins, the charlatan who made up the lie about the £350m per week slogan - and the millions of Turks who were about 'invade' as Turkey was on the verge of EU membership - is now 'an advisor' to Turkish/German Prime Minister, the great grandson of Ottoman Interior Minister Ali Kemal Bey. Yea those who were scared of Turks in a 'great democracy' where 96,000 Tory Party members voted (one third for the other candidate) have put an Ottoman elected by some 60,000+ people in power in the UK.

Honestly it is a shame on the glory of Britain.

                  • Boris has to survive until Nov to avoid becoming Britain's shortest serving PM in history (!)

                      I know. It was ironic.
I mean that at last, one of the Brexiters is in responsability.
Johnson was one of the Brexit "350 m£" men. Let him show what he will do with all that money, and what will become of all the Brexit promises.

                        • With N.Ireland intact? Can you square a circle? Or just pay the price? The UK currently has over 80 trade deals operative as an EU member - come all Saints Eve it will have none.

                          • Nobody wants to put a hard border between the UK and the Irish republic. Trade deals can be re negotiated. The sooner the Euros are punked off the better IMHO.

The only shame is on those who pretend to have a countries best interests at heart, when in fact they're feathering their own nest. Which is what the European political class have been doing for decades. The Irish and their ridiculous leadership are about to get a bloody nose if they continue their line of foolishness. Others also will be in line for a kicking, economically speaking of course. ;-)

Hardly the bumbling inept clown certain clique members would have us believe. Sounds highly coherent to me and anybody without bias and hidden agendas..
