Way to whine about the old people in such a way to get them to amble up to their collective high horses.

Labour MP David Lammy has called on Parliament to "stop this madness" and to vote against the referendum decision to leave the EU.
In a statement on his Twitter feed, the MP for Tottenham and former Higher Education and Skills Minister said: "Wake up. We do not have to do this.
"We can stop this madness and bring this nightmare to an end through a vote in Parliament. Our sovereign Parliament needs to now vote on whether we should exit the EU.

Jean-Claude Juncker, the president of the European Commission should resign as a result of the Brexit vote, the Czech foreign minister said on Sunday, as splits emerged over the future direction of Europe among the EU's remaining 27 members.
The EU chief, who has repeatedly called for “more Europe” to fix the continent's mounting crises, was a “negative symbol” of the kind of federalism that British voters rejected, said Lubomír Zaorálek, the Czech foreign minister.
......
However, as the Czech Republic and other smaller members warned against “integration initiatives”, France and Germany were openly discussing plans for new EU security structures, now that Britain's objection to these steps has been removed.
The plans are likely to be seized on by anti-EU parties across the continent, with leaders from Austria’s far-Right Freedom Party yesterday warning that a centralisation agenda would inevitably lead to demands for more referendums.
...
In a move that threatens to reopen tensions between Rome and Berlin, Matteo Renzi, the Italian prime minister, pressed his demands for more budget flexibility to stimulate growth. “Austerity policies are clouding the horizon. They have turned the future into a threat. They have given fear a push,” Mr Renzi wrote in an Italian newspaper, arguing that Brexit had been born in part from a collapse in UK manufacturing.Last edited by troung; 26 Jun 16,, 20:07.To sit down with these men and deal with them as the representatives of an enlightened and civilized people is to deride ones own dignity and to invite the disaster of their treachery - General Matthew Ridgway

by the way, tempest in a WAB teapot aside...from my understanding, with Cameron gone, there's no one who is going to enact article 50.
and noises from Scotland/Ireland seems to be "if England presses with Brexit then we will go through independence referendums."
so then whatever Conservative grandee takes over from Cameron will effectively have a poisoned chalice-- they're dead politically if they make that trade, it seems to me.
-really- not sure what's going to happen here, but ironically it seems that this referendum didn't solve anything. There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."- Isaac Asimov

What are these kids so afraid of.
Nobody knows.
Not knowing is the cause of the fear.
FDR had a few words about that some time ago.

Boris Johnson seems likely to be the new PM, elected only by Tory MPs... so much for 'democracy'.
Half the Shadow Cabinet has resigned today after Corbyn fired the Shadow Foreign Secretary (Hillary Benn). Corbyn is regarded as having under performed in getting the Labour vote out in the referendum and there is now a 'Blairite rebellion' it is said; http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-36632956

The EU is a separate thing. It's not like you're Albania, a lot of your industry already conforms to EU standards. Go hammer out a deal. There is talk that you have to pay in to be able to trade there like Norway & Switzerland are doing. Let's see.Last edited by Double Edge; 26 Jun 16,, 23:05.

From my understanding of it - and I'm 99% sure I am right - it is the EU that negotiates any trade deals on it's members behalf; thus TTIP is negotiated not by individual countries but between the US and the EU.
