Random fact: despite popular belief, tankie had dozens of dry months in a row.

Then he blew the 9 candles on the cake and all hell break loose.

              • Chief economist of Bank of England admits errors in Brexit forecasting
The bank has come under intense criticism for predicting a dramatic slowdown in the UK’s fortunes in the event of a vote for Brexit only for the economy to bounce back strongly and remain one of the best performing in the developed world.

It hasn't. It seems you may have a reading problem.

Frankly, we didn't hear that line when the stock crumbled, only now when it's reviving.

It is one thing to be scared of what tariffs etc you may need to pay someday (when Brexit occurs) and another to actually pay them and face loss of exports.

If I had wished to quote the gruniad article you referred to I would have. I did not because my correction was related to your interpretation of it. A vote has taken place but that is not what your comment was about. Parliament took the UK into the European Community (1972) and unless the Supreme Court rules otherwise Parliament must decide to start the process of leaving.

my comment was about people like you cant tell the difference between 2 events: a vote for brexit (the referendum) and brexit. the original article is about the 1st event, not the 2nd. so saying "brexit hasnt happened" is completely irrelevant and ridiculous.
