Interestingly the Chinese have submitted a claim to the UN Secretary General against Vietnam regarding their dispute in the South China Sea. China As the article notes this may backfire against China and I am of the opinion this is just another aspect of Chinas bullying behaviour against its regional neighbours. This is a carry on from historical and imperial times where China demanded and received tribute from what it perceived as lessor nations. If one wishes to look at the current government in China I would class it as another imperial dynasty with a different succession methodology. Out of all the dynasties this one has been the most successful in uniting, ruling and ensuring that its will is carried out right through China from the capital to the furthest outreaches. Many people forget that historically China was also a maritime power and that it will never forget that when it let its naval power wilt and wane, westerners and Japanese invaded its shores and forced humiliation upon China. Judging China in a western context and world view is not wise.
Actually it is okay IF China never called herself " People's Republic".

"We should strengthen... international and regional cooperation, and step up the fight against the 'three forces', in order to bring a life of happiness and tranquility to the people of this region," said Xi, also head of the ruling Communist Party of China.
    What?

"China stays committed to seeking peaceful settlement of disputes with other countries over territorial sovereignty, and maritime rights and interests," he said.
As long as we win. :wors::wors::wors: Now that's what I'm talking about.

No, they have to invade and occupy part of Japan before they then invade Indochina and Malaya. :D
