    • Let's look at it another way: I see only two world leaders with threads on WAB dedicated solely to their awesomeness: Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin

                    • Un is a whalin man! Nevermind that prestunned little whale that looks like a tuna, they'll have a photo of Un stabbing it soon (after his bowman pre-stabs it, and his marines shoot it). Its a great honor to push the Leader's boat - don't ya know. H'mm; a dozen men, one of them with a camera, seven bodyguards, four generals, and Kim all in one little boat - this demonstrates that the young Kim is fearless in calm, knee deep, inland waters. Perhaps the whale is going to be a shore lunch for Un - he's looking a bit peckish.

                        • The video is awesome! The soldiers literally wade into the cold water up to their chests as they wave "adieu" to Omnipotent Leader.

The music is classic 1930's communist propaganda back ground, and the announcer's cadence and inflection make it sound like Christ Himself is descending from the clouds in power and glory.

                          Great stuff.

                              • The good times keep on rolling. Did he, or didn't he???

80 North Koreans put to death for porn and soap operas, South Korean paper reports - Hot Topics
About 80 people were reportedly executed in seven cities across North Korea on November 3 for infractions ranging from the distribution of pornographic material and prostitution to watching western movies and television, Korea Joonhang Daily reported on Monday.

According to the South Korean paper, the executions took place in cities such as Wonsan, Chongjin, Sariwon, Pyongsong while no executions occurred within the nation’s capital of Pyongyang.

An unnamed eyewitness told the paper that authorities brought an estimated 10,000 North Korean citizens to a sports stadium in the eastern port city of Wonsan to watch eight people tied to stakes with bags over their heads get shot by a machine gun-toting firing squad.

While these are apparently the first known mass executions under Kim Jong-un’s relatively new North Korean regime, which he assumed in December 2011 after Kim Jong-il passed away, this is not the first time the leader of the “hermit kingdom” has ordered executions based on similar sex-related offences.

On August 20, Kim Jong-un reportedly put singer Hyon Song-wol, who was rumored to be his ex-girlfriend, and approximately 20 other entertainers to death by firing squad for producing and distributing pornography.

Creating pornography and watching media from capitalist countries such as South Korea and the United States is considered a major offense in North Korea. Even then, the South China Morning Post says smuggled shows such as ABC’s Desperate Housewives and South Korean soap operas “are believed to have a small but avid following.”

Reports are extremely limited at the time and the witness roster consists of unnamed sources speaking to conservative South Korean papers such as Korea Joonhang Daily. Other sites, such as the defector-run, Seoul-based Daily NK, has no coverage of the incident.
