  • Whisky war ends - Agreement to be signed

Some good news amidst the general gloom around the world. Canada and Denmark end their 50 year long border dispute. The area in question; the uninhabited rock called Hans Island, which has a size of 1.5 sq km located between Ellesmere Island and Greenland will equally divided between both countries. This would also create the first land border between a North American and European power.

To mark the occasion, a gift of Quebec Whisky will be presented to Denmark by Canada.

Tangentially related, this happened to occur most fortuitously on National Bourbon Day.

This begs the question what spirit to the Danes give back in return?
If you are emotionally invested in 'believing' something is true you have lost the ability to tell if it is true.

Yep and it was Canadian Club from our side. Thus far, neither side has any evidence of trophies of war.

That's our story and we're sticking to it.

Myself I always wondered how the loot was divided once they left the scene of battle?
