    I find this Saudi effort to be interesting. Continuing information and realistic internal reports on these efforts are few and far between.

    Any other sources or erudite commentary on this mega-project?

    At first blush and admittedly knowing nothing at all about it...

    It immediately reminds me of KKMC...and then almost as quickly reminds me of a Soviet "Hero" project...and then a Chinese Special Economic Zone...

      KAUST is located near KAEC. Personally, I am interested in how KAUST turns out, especially when considering that its inaugural president is the former president of my alma mater.
