  • Apparently the Danish and Norwegian oil and gas extraction facilities a couple of hundred km’s out in the North Sea are turning into a tourist attraction.
It appears that for the last couple of weeks they have been visited by a number of unidentified drones!

Both yourself, and the media expert made a point of the fact that the pipelines were filled with gas,
to prevent the formation of condense water that causes corrosion.
Having the Baltic flood the pipelines would; IMO, cause a bit more damage than condense water.
There are backfills in case loss of pressure. Simple engineering states you need pump stations every few kms. Reverse pressure plugs are installed at every pump to help ease the pumping so no back draft add to pumping woes.

If I'm reading you correctly Colonel, that means the pipelines are designed to deal with structural failure and flooding events. which makes sense because it means any one such event (natural or not) doesn't mean the entire pipeline and related undersea infrastructure has to be written off. Which also means these breaches can be repaired. If so that's actually comforting because it means Putin hasn't yet become so desperate/unhinged that he's written off 'normalizing' Russia's relationship with the West at some time in the future, once the war ends.

It appears that Russian "tourists" have discovered a new way of taking in the sights! Flying drones!
A few months ago, one of these "tourists" was detained in Sweden for flying a drone near one of the royal palaces!
This at the time that unknown drones had been sighted near Swedish defense instillations!
Afterwards there have been numerous sightings; both in Sweden and Norway!
The latest case is a Russian "tourist" that has been detained by Norwegian Customs,
while in possesion of a couple of drones, together with an encrypted data disk!

            • The Atlantic Council offers 23 thoughts generated by this war-

              Six Months Twenty Three Lessons

My lesson? If you're helping, then HELP. Should we have been training Ukrainian aviators on F-16s back in April while we worked out the details? Maintenance guys? Etc? How about Abrams and Bradley crews and mechanics? Too heavy and complex?

I guarantee that if we went to war in Ukraine tomorrow we won't be suddenly selecting a lighter MBT platform for the fight. It'll be an even heavier version of the ABRAMS. Complexity? That's why I asked about starting in April (or, presciently, the fall of 2021).

These weapons and munitions used by U.S. forces are intended to be employed against our enemies. Well...our enemy has rarely been seen with greater clarity. It is evident that a Putinist Russia is an existential threat to the rules-based world order. Irrevocable and chasm-deep. He therefore must be defeated and we've a nation thoroughly prepared to do just that for the most simply understood reason of national survival. Plain and stark. Ukraine must fight and it is in America's and the free world's best interest to see our weapons and munitions be used against our enemy.

So let's quit being little whiny bitches and give them what they need. Our obligation if it's such a concern is to MAKE MORE.

Give what we have that they need and make more of what we need. Ukraine will do the dying.

              • We do more than that. We tie Zelensky's hands. Why isn't Poroshenko car bombing Moscow? Or even the Crimea. Hell, how about the LNR and DNR?

Both Putin and Xi agree that there needs to be a new world order to combat western influences and domination. We should all be thrilled by their ideas...

No its not. Economic theaters. Here is my part of the front and we didn't even imposed sanctions to Russia. On the side note, it was bought in the organic shop, not in the big boxmart chain store.
