The new US President should first fully understand that its time to fix our own house first.

Declare a US "aid" holiday and halt all loans and "love me" money to these countries.

Lets fix ourselves, Our Laws, Our infastructures, Our Education system and get us out of this slump to the point where bullshit no longer controls the headlines and post economic recovery real numbers and facts dominate it for once.

The countries presently receiving the "love me" money might decide to run to the Chinese or the Russians in the event that the US decides to suspend payments. It would by no means lead to the end of the world for the US, but it would complicate the geopolitical picture for Washington.

As well, we should keep the supporters of globalization in mind. They will want the process to go forward, not back. This means ensuring that no one country is more powerful than the other and the US has been something of a thorn in the side for the UN.

To build the US back up, every American would have to begin at home. Foster good feelings in every child towards America and all she stands for. Moms and Dads everywhere should encourage their kids to think for themselves instead of merely conditioning them to obey laws and not make any waves, but not many parents do this; most Americans are so concerned for the security of their current lifestyles that they've become rather risk-averse and would not take risks even if their good names depended on it. Of course additional measures would be needed, but I believe the household is the place to start.
