Two explosions at Boston marathon finish line

BOSTON (AP) — Two explosions at the finish line of the Boston Marathon have resulted in injuries.
Bloody spectators were being carried Monday to the medical tent that had been set up to care for fatigued runners. Police wove through competitors as they ran back toward the course.
"There are a lot of people down," said one man, whose bib No. 17528 identified him as Frank Deruyter of North Carolina. He was not injured, but marathon workers were carrying one woman, who did not appear to be a runner, to the medical area as blood gushed from her leg. A Boston police officer was wheeled from the course with a leg injury that was bleeding.
About three hours after the winners crossed the line, there was a loud explosion on the north side of Boylston Street, just before the photo bridge that marks the finish line. Another explosion could be heard a few seconds later.

Our luck ran out. Sooner or later, they will get smarter and get luckier.

At least 6 hurt. Amount of smoke looks like a big blast.

Not as bad as they first made it out to be.

The first talking heads on the scenes are sensationalizing it as usual.

"Massive plumes of smoke over 20 to 30 feet high"......

Let's hold off on the terrorist attacks until we hear more....

Bro I am seeing on CNN. There is a lot of smoke. Easy more than 20-30 feet. But no crater.

just watched slow motion of the first explosion, it was inside the building, watched the windows blow out and it was big. Not saying it was, but the blast looked like what we used to see out of Israel when a suicide bomber set himself off inside a crowded establishment. Not looking good for whoever was inside that store. Number of injured now up to dozens with police reporting multiple blasts.

still frame clearly shows fireball exiting building.

                              Ya true.

But the slow motion where the runner falls to the ground, looks like a big fire cracker. The cloth fence gets blown, but does not even shred.
