The WAB is a community...or i think so. I would break bread wth Dale or Gunut or Pari or OOE in a heartbeat. While i disagree with many here in general I see you as principled in your beliefs and as capabple of falling into the trap of a straw man argument or well he did this arguement as I am. While there is a thread dealing with the issues surrounding what is a local and highly emotional event to a CT resident like me I thought maybe as a comminity where everyone has strong opinions on guns and laws we all agree that what happened goes beyond tragic and has throne families into a circle of hell with the loss and the way it happened none of us can rightly fully comprehend no matter our individual capabality to empathsize
That said since we do all have strong feelings on guns I felt maybe we could all agree a challenge to help the effected families was something we could all rally around. I am going to the bank and gettng a bank chank for the United way Newtown survivors fund. All the cash gets to aid them unlike some United way efforts. I challange each of you to do the same whether it is 5 dollars or 5000.00 it is the act of helping them equally no matter the amount because one mans 5 dollars mght be another mans 5000 an do post a scan of the check. No comments on amounts, no pm about them if you feel strongly and can help with a 5 spot great. I just think as a comunitty the WAB is united in it's horror and the sympathy for the famulies pain no matter our feelings on what t do about it. Maybe helping the families could be something we all agree is worthwhile. I wnt post a link on the fund but you can find it easily. If MODs think ths bad please delete the thread
