Lack of Content for price, lack of journalists with contacts that matter in defence industry, comments that lead one to believe they are as insular as most main stream rags in their conviction they are the be-all-end-all.

There is a lot of contempt for Janes in defence industry prof circles. I frequent other boards where those with exposure to industry post various links with a little comment - Janes does not rank at all. From a leading position they effed it up... hence the original comment.

That particular episode was aired February 5, 2003... In general, West Wing aired from September, 1999 - May, 2006. Not much Clinton in there, really
bet most of the political consultants that helped with WW were from the clinton administration. that show is sort of the liberal dream of what a Presidency should be...:)
There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."- Isaac Asimov

Some critic wrote something to the effect of "Aaron Sorkin keeps writing fictional presidents that are the same man that he desperately wished Bill Clinton had been"
