    2021 Trump-Incited Insurrection at Capitol Building

    Hundreds of Trump supporters storm Capitol barricades as Congress meets; nearby buildings evacuated

    As protesters marched from the Ellipse to the Capitol, several hundred came up against the metal barricades surrounding the back of the building.

    Just before 1 p.m., a group of primarily White men pushed, then toppled the barricades, storming through them to the grassy fields leading to the Capitol.

    Several Capitol police stood guard but could not hold back the tide. Hundreds scaled and kicked aside the barricades, yelling “forward!!” as they ran upward.

    Some tried to reach the steps of the Capitol, but were stopped by law enforcement. A few who made it through and scaled metal construction structures were tackled by police.

    After a few minutes of the crowds yelling “USA! USA!”, dozens of law enforcement descended down the steps to boos.

    Inside the building, Congress is meeting to count electoral college votes for President-elect Joe Biden.

    Capitol Police ordered evacuations of two Capitol campus buildings — the Library of Congress James Madison Memorial Building and the Cannon House Office Building, both just across Independence Avenue from the Capitol.

    Capitol Building breached by Trump supporters. Senate, House go into lockdown; Pence removed

    Due to the presence of pro-Trump protesters, both chambers of Congress are now being locked down and the Secret Service quickly removed Vice President Mike Pence from the building. At a speech earlier Wednesday, the president ordered his supporters to march on the Capitol, where the legislature is set to formally count electoral college votes showing Joe Biden as the winner of November's election.

      I don't know about you but this is pretty close to an attempted coup encouraged by Trump. It should now be clear as day that they have zero respect for the Constitution, the Country, and the Flag. Might I go so far as to use the word traitor?

        That's exactly what this is. And now Trump is tweeting for people to "be peaceful". Hypocritical asshole....he's the one that told them to march on the Capitol in the first place.

        It's long past time for Donald Trump to face justice and answer for his crimes.

        I see Confederate flags being waved by Trump's followers on the balcony of the Capitol Building. These people are not Americans, they are traitors.

          Oh, and so much for that mythical radical, insane left. What we really have here is the radical, insane far right who have always been more dangerous to this country. Generally they stayed in their rabbit holes but the genie is out.

                  There is a 4 hour Youtube video on his morning rally. I will save you all time. The last 25 minutes, I actually listened for the first time, he goes even more over the top on his grievances about the election. At 4:04:15 he says walk with me down to the Capital where we will take back our country so he did say go to the Capital. The best part is at 4:05:10 where he has ended and the sound track for the event kicks back in and he is pumping his arms to YMCA by the Village People. Other songs are Macho Man by Village People, Billie Jean by Michael Jackson, Love Lies Bleedin' in My Hands by Elton John, and Fortunate Son by CCR.

                  Damn, I do believe they used a sound track from a Gay Pride Parade in San Francisco.

                        years ago when Trump elected i told in this forum that US will experience what we experienced with that kind of so called "leader".... now it happens.. again thanks on those who made these kind of people "leaders"... from inside or outside...

                            Trump is still silent. He won't order his base to stand down. That pathetic tweet from hours ago was clearly understood by his cult as a "wink wink" nod to their violence.

                              Well, on the bright side, since many are not wearing masks, they may be part of a super spreader event and get sick. LOL
