      That Louden school board?

You probably haven't heard of it because it's conservative sites that are talking about it.
Actually, Pari, I am well aware of the assault and the results as I get the daily newspaper in Richmond Virginia, the Richmond Times-Dispatch. The story has been covered in the Metro & State section of the paper. I am also aware that the US Supreme Court made a decision which drove the Virginia law which impacted the school board's decision. It has also been covered by our local TV news stations...again something I watch with regularity.

So it is not only conservative sites which have been covering the stories.

Oh, and the school board meeting the parents were protesting...it was over student transgender rights and was intended to bring the county in alignment with Virginia State Law on the matter.

And Z, so are you saying it is okay for parents to harass local school boards? I mean you can't possibly be saying that.

That's another false dichotomy. There is a planetwide gap between "throwing punches" and "milquetoast words".

Does "arguing loudly, clenching his fist, leaning toward and swearing at the woman" meet your definition of peaceably as mentioned in the First Amendment?

It sounds more like menacing or assault to me.

I never said it had to be wishy washy...but you said it yourself...he crossed the line by swinging. And shouting at a school board...usually made up of people just like the rest of the community...is usually counterproductive.

I understand the man's anger...but that does not excuse his actions.

The bottomline is civilian boards of all kinds like this are usually nonpartisan and should not receive threats of violence. Period.

                • The school board set up fake COVID seating only for parents, not themselves or media, imposed 1 minute time limits, and is making parents who don't get a COVID seat stand out in the Cold and the rain. The board obviously does not see themselves as fellow community members. The disdain at having to listen to the serfs and plebs is obvious. They are not non-partisan.

Let someone cover up the sexual assault of your child/ grand kid and then test your rationality. That school board apparently hired crisis managers from the Catholic Church and BSA.

His daughter being raped seemed a rather large elephant in the room to ignore, when it made it a real world issue of girls rights not to be raped rather than characterized as "student transgender rights."

In other words, this man's violent attitude and actions were justified because, according to you, he was pushed too far, especially by those "partisans". So, it's time to throw out any sort of human decency and threaten violence. Upon a woman, naturally.

Yeah, that's about what I expected you to say. So glad you've finally cast off your transparently fake mantra of "I condemn violence by both sides!". Showing your true colors is a sign of moral courage. I recommend that you continue doing so.

                          By MATT MCNULTY FOR DAILYMAIL.COM

The National School Boards Association issued an apology on Friday after a letter it sent to the Biden administration that likened some parents of school children who have protested their child's curriculum to domestic terrorists

The news comes after Attorney General applauded the letter, while calling for the FBI to investigate such parents.

'As you all know, there has been extensive media and other attention recently around our letter to President Biden regarding threats and acts of violence against school board members,' the NSBA wrote in a memo.

'We wanted to write to you directly to address this matter.'

'On behalf of NSBA, we regret and apologize for the letter,' the NSBA said, noting that 'there was no justification for some of the language included in the letter.'

Someone close to Attorney General Merrick Garland told Fox News that Garland and Department of Justice officials that they are pleased with the updated letter, which is now on course with the statement he made this week in front of House Judiciary.

In the letter, the NSBA had claimed that clashes between the school board and parents could amount to domestic terrorism.

Garland instructed the FBI to follow up with a task force to address any threats against school officials in a memorandum.

The memo also included a concept for a centralized method in which such threats can be reported, according to Fox News.

The source close to Garland added the attorney general is solely focused on preventing violence, not calling parents domestic terrorists.

Garland denied claims on Thursday that the Department of Justice would label parents as domestic terrorists, saying that the office will defend the parent's First Amendment rights 'to complain as vociferously as they wish.'

'Justice Department supports and defends the First Amendment right of parents to complain as vociferously as they wish about the education of their children, about the curriculum taught in the schools.'

'That is not what the memorandum is about at all, nor does it use the words 'domestic terrorism’ or 'PATRIOT Act,' Garland continued.

Meanwhile, on Saturday Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo) called on Garland to step down following the release of the new NSBA memo.

Garland, pictured, instructed the FBI to follow up with a task force to address any threats against school officials in a memorandum

'Merrick Garland mobilized the FBI to intimidate parents without legal basis and, we now know, premised on misinformation he didn’t bother to verify,' Hawley tweeted in response to the board's memo.

'It was a dangerous abuse of authority that has badly compromised the Justice Dept’s integrity and Garland's.'

Since the memo was issued, several state school boards, educational groups as well as members of the US Commission on Civil Rights have voiced their criticism of the administration.

Four of the eight members of the Commission on Civil Rights had requested 'specific examples' of 'harassment, intimidation and threats of violence' in a letter sent to Garland, examples which he provided as evidence for the necessity of federal intervention regarding parents protesting at schools.

'Will the AG reverse?' Representative Chip Roy (R-Texas) tweeted on Friday in response to the NSBA's new letter.

The battle between concerned parents and the National School Boards Association comes the same day as news broke of a Virginia school board superintendent who denied having 'any record' of a female student being raped by a 15-year-old 'boy in a skirt,' who reported the assault to the school board the day of the attack in a newly disclosed email.

Loudoun Schools Superintendent Scott Ziegler had initially told parents during a June school board meeting he had no report of the sexual assault on the 15-year-old girl that took place at Stone Bridge High School on May 28.

Ziegler apologized on October 15 (pictured at a press conference). 'I regret that my comments were misleading and I apologize for the distress they caused families,' he said

                          +7
In an email, dated May 28, Ziegler reported to the school board that 'a female student alleged that a male student sexually assaulted her in the restroom'

However, in an email dated the same day as the assault, Ziegler wrote to the school board: 'This afternoon a female student alleged that a male student sexually assaulted her in the restroom. The LCSO is investigating the matter.'

In June, Ziegler told parents: 'We don't have any record of assaults occurring in our restrooms.'

A female student at Stone Bridge High School accused the boy - who was reportedly wearing a skirt - of sexually assaulting her in the restroom. He entered the restroom under the school's transgender bathroom policy.

The same boy was also reportedly involved in another sexual assault on October 6 at Broad Run High School where a different girl claimed she was 'forced' into a classroom where 'he held her against her will and inappropriately touched her,' according to Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

The unnamed boy from Ashburn, Virginia, has been arrested and charged, according to Loudoun County Commonwealth prosecutor Buta Biberaj.

The boy was charged with two counts of forcible sodomy for the May 28 attack and sexual battery for the October 6 attack, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said on Oct. 13. The Sheriff's Office released the statement to clear up 'misinformation' regarding the case.

                            • If you're wondering why the NSBA offered a admittedly non-specific apology, the initial letter sent out specifically named Scott Smith as a domestic terrorist.
