Wow, once again what goal posts have I moved?

Me saying biggest investigation in US history in terms of resources like man power, money, access to evidence etc Literally the number 1 focus of federal law enforcement. With hundreds of defendants being tried before the absolutely most favorable possible jury pool but not even 1 sedition/insurrection charge.

My response: must not be there, charge them for what they did do.

Occam's razor simplest solution is most likely to be right.

Hundreds of chances to file sedition charges but none filed equals the government does not think J6 equalled an insurrection or sedition.

Oh, and I don"t hate the government. I don't trust it, no body does. But lack of trust is not hate. I served, I vote, I volunteer, I pay my taxes, I know my representatives and have written them. In short I am civically engaged.

I can't wait for 2024. What's going happen when Trump loses again, and this time a couple of swing states' electoral boards, stacked with Trump flunkies who, again, falsely believe the election was rigged, actually do his bidding this time and send bogus electorates to be counted on January 6 with a Republican-led House and possibly Senate? And this time it's VP Kamala Harris in the role of Mike Pence being called on to throw them out.

I've lost people under my command. I demand of my leaders that I demand of myself. Clinton started a war that should never been fought. Both General MacKenzie and I are on Parliment records stating as such. Chretien gave the OK for 2 Brigade to start preparing for the Iraq War only to turn around to send us to Afghanistan. Canadian Staff Officers resigned in protest but stayed on the job because no one else can do the job better to prepare the men to survive the orders.

I don't claim to be conservative either, although I had respect for what used to be the center-right.

But I am missing the part about damning every part of conservativism, except maybe by the few posters who are obviously left wing. I mean, what criticism has there been of actual conservative policy, be it on economic issues, like low taxes, opposition to spending, regulations or even climate change skepticism or social issues like abortion, or opposition to the woke movement?

It seems to me that most of the recent arguments on this forum have about a certain former right wing leader whose name I shall not mention as some folks are rather sensitive about it. And about whether there was a deep state conspiracy to undermine him from the beginning which is somehow in cahoots with the far left and trying to bring about the socialist or communist take over. If opposing these views means damning conservativism, then okay, you may have a point.
