  • How do I find my grandparents military records?

I've been trying to find out what my grandfather did during the second world war.

All I know for sure is that he joined the North Shore Regiment in the mid 1930's and was sent over as soon as the war broke out in 1939. He also took part in Dieppe but that is where it gets sketchy.

Either he stayed in the North Shore Regiment or he transfered to the Cameron Highlanders and was doing commando raids but I can't get any for sure information as I get different stories from the family and while he was alive he didn't say anything about the war and most info we have came from his buddies at his funeral.

How do I get his military records from the Canadian Government?
