    About 3 1/2 years in the Canadian Army reserves back in the late 80's. Armoured recce. Currently just over 3 years in the British Army reserves. Armoured infantry.

    Afraid you've missed the intent. Just wanted you to share some funny stories about your service. Nothing about combat (unless they happened to be funny) The link I posted show examples. Barrack life. Clerks making your life miserable. Unpalatable food. etc.

    Does 6 years in the Rhodesian War count, with some family members in for the whole 15? It was quite informal, mind you, just protecting the farm and burning out the terrorists in neighbouring villages.

    You joined the Army aged under 16? I thought it is impossible to enlist before 17.
