What guns do you own?

I was talking with Ammo08 on Dales' new gun thread and he mentioned he carries Golden Sabres in his steyr. Is that one we mentioned...tried..anyone?

I'm having the same deja-vu as you.I've been using Winchester SXT 230gr jhp in my SIG P220 and am going to try them in my Kimber.I think it might have been GraniteForge who suggested that we give the Speer Gold Dots a try which I was also going to do(I think...).What were we talking about again???

My Kimber Ultra-Carry II loves the Hornady TAP 230gr jhp but they are considered a +P round-not recommended for use in my gun by Kimber so I no longer use them.

I will shoot some 230g winchester ball at the range and probably shoot a few of the Win 230g pers protection rnds, that I usually carry in most of my guns. I also have some federal 230g HPs floating around. They are getting some age on them so I may shoot them up this weekend. I also thought about trying some Hornady TAP, anyone shot any in .45acp?

For the time being, I am carrying it in a Don Hume outside pant, belt strap holster. Can't see it even under a loose T-shirt only. This winter I will most likely opt for my shoulder rig. I will have to pick up a smaller holster for it This Nov at the big Tulsa gun show, to attach to my rig. :)

That could be it. Glock's trigger breaks at 6 lb., I believe, and the Sig's trigger breaks at around 4.5 lb. in single action. That gives me a great reason to buy a Glock to practice.

Is that a DAO piece? Or is it the traditional DA/SA, just without the hammer spur?

SA only, just like a regular 1911. The hammer is totally shaved. It can be put in half-****, and then cocked with out much difficulty. Haven't decided what posture to carry it in yet. I have a 1911 concealment holster for my larger guns that has a thumbreak strap that requires the pistol be hammer back to secure it. I may try to find a smaller one for it. So far it is the finest crafted 1911 I have ever had. Kimber builds 200 of them per year, each one is hand crafted. Notice no sights either, it has an aiming groove down the top of it. I may consider a crimson trace laser grip for it.

That is usually an indication of a trigger finger "push". That Glock might have just a little longer LOP from the backstrap to the trigger than your Sig. Makes your trigger finger pull at a slight angle rather than straight back. (assuming you're right handed)
