I can get away with having one or two in the house. As the missus is Australian they don't like weapons like we do in North America. No point in upsetting her by making her feel unsafe but I'm willing to put money on her changing her attitude with one trip to a range. She's a tomboy for sure and a true blue redneck Aussie.

A couple days in the mail, a week to process the order, another week to pull and ship.
Surprised me, I was expecting the 45-60 days wait.
Cleaned and inspected today, getting ready to head out and put some rounds through her. Even got a bonus grenade sight base.
Highsea,
When ya comin’ down to play?
I'm planning on getting one of those when I return to Canada!
How much did it set you back? When you say service grade does that mean it was used in WW2 or Korea?
I'm jealous but I too will have one. Can I use them for hunting you think?

Shot the Kimber last weekend. Smooooth! Way less recoil than anticipated even with relatively hot 230Gs. Rapid fire exercises where very controllable and comparable with my full size 1911. For a CCW I have found the one! I found that sights are really not neccessary for CQ accuracy. I may add a crimson trace laser grip but that would be all.

As a side note, I replaced the bolt spring (?) on my Peacemaker replica. I order 2 springs just in case. The wire spring makes the trigger break at less than 2 lb (estimate). I put the other one in and it's a more traditional 3 to 4 lb.

Guest repliedHowdy folks
First post here. Fairly new to the board, been reading a few weeks. Thought I'd go ahead and say hello and show you my stash. I've had the Python since 1992, I bought it used from a dude at the range out in California. The UPS I bought new in 1994 from a gun store in Orange CA. The Airweight belonged to my grandfather. He bought in either the late 60's or early seventies. It's a great shooter. It is not only my CCW weapon but my good luck charm.Attached Files
