I picked up 400 rounds the other day, so at least I can start breaking it in this weekend. I'm going up to Seattle, so I can swing by my boat and grab a couple boxes I have stashed onboard. Also plan on stopping at Sportco in Fife- if anyone up there has 9mm, it'll be them.

It's out there, I think it just takes a little looking.

If you don't already have all the ammo you need for a while, you should know that there is an ongoing national ammo shortage that doesn't show signs of easing. Still, when you can find it, 9x19 mm is less expensive than .40 Auto.

Ammoman.com is completely sold out of that caliber right now, but I see that georgia arms has stock.

I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't have bought it in .40 S&W though, 9mm is kinda scarce around here. I'll have to make a trip to Seattle, I have a couple boxes of silvertips on the boat.
In the long run, you may well be happier that you have the 9mm.
The ammo is cheaper, the mags hold more rounds, and the guns have less problems over time than the .40s.

That's good Dale, it makes room for something new.

Wish I had friends like you, but I'm not into rubbing guys shoulders. :))

Well, the chick whose birthday present was going to be my P229 in .40S&W for her b-day last year just recently rubbed my shoulders and asked huskily if I'd still hold onto "her gun" for her until her b-day this year.

How can you turn down a request like that?

Besides, her and he hubby still have all the ammo I brought over in a cabinet somewhere, so where else is it going, I guess? ;)

Nice! I would like to have at least one of each in my collection some day.

I just bought my 84FS about a year ago so they are evidently still out there. I made sure I got one that holds the double stack magazine. I don't care for the high trigger pull weight, but other than that I really like it. I might put a stiffer recoil spring it in, but no one makes a trigger/hammer spring kit that I have been able to find.

BTW, I recently purchased an XD in .40 and did a spring tuning job.... Nice gun, enjoy the 9MM!!!

Glock makes 2 models in 380 but those are South America only. :(
