An article that discusses how the Navy unintentionally stumbled across new ASW techniques during RIMPAC 2004. It also analyses the theory behind the recently adopted policy of Full-Spectrum ASW. While operational details are understandably absent, it gives interesting insights into just how many opportunities there are to render an adversary's submarine operations ineffective before the an enemy submarine ever reaches weapon's range of American naval assets. I recommend giving it a read.
