I have applied to the Navy League in an attempt to get an invitation to the commissioning ceremony. So I will have to see if that Life Time membership gets me anything?

She's there now! Came in yesterday (Thur). I just took a ride over and was not alone! That is one impressive ship! There is no way that she retains the class designation of a DDG! I see a reclassifying in the future! Maybe a CG? or BBG? She takes up as much pier as Forrestal did!
Now to see if I can get my friend the base XO can get me in there (and on there)!
On a side note, regarding the hull shape, saw this monstrosity in London last week, moored next to HMS Belfast... which it almost hid completely...
Hopefully, it has a hidden garage for RHIB's and jet ski's. It disappoints in a lack of a helipad, and large water features, such as an infinity pool or large hot tub for one's favorite group of cheerleaders or dancers to frolic in.
Zoom in on the picture at that link and you can see a marked area on the foc'sle for a helicopter. Not much of an area but enough to on/off load passengers. Also along the hull towards the aft part of the ship are several seams that look like doors for a brow and for larger items closer to the waterline- most likely your rhib's, jet ski's and other craft. Wait- just finished reading the wiki for it and she does have all those things you mentioned and more. Also interesting are the other yachts linked to in the article- missile defense systems, mini subs, escape pods, bomb proof glass- sounds like a James Bond movie. Meanwhile, I'm scrambling around trying to find a thwart for my canoe! My wife thinks I'm paranoid when I buy shelf stable food items and other things like batteries, candles etc. but look at what the world's wealthiest have. Makes you wonder.
I wonder what the Belfast's volunteers thought about having a pleasure palace being tied along side?
Also note the "toy garage" is open at the waterline.
