Liberty/Victory Ships classification

Liberty Ships and Victory Ships are similar:

How would you differentiate them in terms of classification? That is, Liberty Ships are considered members of the Liberty-class cargo ships, right? How about Victory Ships? Are they a sub-class of Liberty-class or are they a separate class altogether?

Entirely different sparing, different bows, different engines, different sterns.

I would name them a different class of ship though influenced by the earlier liberty ships.
